Fire Tears Through 6 Homes In Chicago Heights: Report

Firefighters encountered water supply issues while fighting the blaze Tuesday night, WGN reports.

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL β€” A fire tore through six homes in Chicago Heights Tuesday night, as firefighters encountered a water supply issue that hindered their attack, according to reports.

The fire broke out just after 11 p.m. Tuesday near 15th Street and Lowe Avenue, WGN reports.

Hydrants were offline at the time due to construction, in addition to water main breaks disrupting water supply.

Three homes were occupied. Two others were vacant, and one was being rehabbed, WGN reports.

No one was injured, but nine residents were displaced.
