This week's Chicago Heights police blotter featured a heated exchange between a Citgo customer and an employee of the gas station, located at 1524 Chicago Road. According to police, .

Here's what one of our readers had to say about the exchange:

: Citgo guy was just trying to keep the no-parking zone clear for emergency vehicles and for customers trying to get front point A to point B. I don't blame him. The woman got all up in his business because she was embarrassed for parking illegally. She was too quick to defend a defenseless act. I feel for the Citgo guy for loosing his religion.

I will never understand why people park in no-parking zones when there are PLENTY of honest-to-goodness parking spaces. Why park in the fire lane to visit the Red Box when there are parking spots 20 feet away? So freaking lazy, or “entitled.” Get over yourselves and follow the rules that are established to promote peace and harmony in our communities.

Thanks to Patch (and Pat), a man in the Heights will forever be known as "Citgo Guy."

Goodbye Gas Prices?

as a weekly series contingent upon fuel prices staying above $4. If prices dropped below that amount, we would end the column.

Well, prices have been below $4 for a little while now, and we decided to ask the Facebook fans if we should discontinue the series. Here are the responses:

Brittany Ann Burke: keep them going!

Tomeiko Windham Sewell: After the 4th of July they will go back up above $4, so keep it going or resume after that time.

Teena Long: Its still nice to know where the cheapest gas it. I have seen a .20 difference in gas prices traveling from one town to another in the last few days. That is soo wrong!

Art Wiggins Jr.: Gas above $3 per gallon is a big deal..... there is no reason to discontinue this series simply because its below the $4 per gallon marker. Whenever I pull up to a pump I think of this very informative piece.

Mary Smith Martinez: It's sad when we think gas under $4.00 is reasonable.they train us well, outrage with excessively high prices, then drop it some, now were all thankful....what B.S.

Jet Ski Rob: You know it's not gonna stay below $4. This is just temporary.

Look's like the column continues. How can you turn down a guy named "Jet Ski Rob"?

Chowdown Suggestions

It's that time again, friends.

Name the best places in Chicago Heights, Olympia Fields and South Chicago Heights to get awesome spaghetti. I'm talking perfectly al dente pasta with a delicious marinara sauce, the kind you don't forget for a week.

, but I know we can dominate when it comes to pasta. It's the Heights, for cryin' out loud! This town has a large population of Italians.
