Hearing Arabic Scares Southwest Airlines Passenger at Midway: Patch PM
Accused baby killer "loved babies" / Trooper's heart-attack comment still irks dad / Scoop on tonight's snow / Plus, tonight's traffic woes.

Overheard Arabic Scares Southwest Airlines Passenger
A frightened person who overheard two fellow Southwest Airlines passengers speaking Arabic managed to get the gate agents at Midway Airport to bump the men from their flight. An incredulous Maher Khalil, 29, who owns a pizza shop in Philadelphia, said Southwest personnel apologized and told him he and his friend could not board. “I didn’t know what to do, so I called the cops,” Khalil said. Chicago cops helped set the situation right, and the men left Chicago for the city of brotherly love after a delay. Then passengers demanded to know what he had in the box he carried. (A hint: It was delicious.)
