Illinois is home to the most violent neighborhood in the country

Illinois is home to six of the most violent neighborhoods in the nation, says the website Neighborhood Scout. No other state placed as many trouble spots in the rankings, which were based on FBI data. Two of those six neighborhoods are in Chicago, but they’re not the most dangerous neighborhoods in the state. In fact, the other four neighborhoods are were ranked as more violent than the Chicago neighborhoods.

And one of those neighborhoods holds the notorious distinction as the most violent neighborhood in the country.
