Jewel, Aldi: Christmas Grocery Store Hours In Chicago Heights

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL — Christmas is likely to look different this year as millions of Americans opt to stay home, marking the holiday with smaller celebrations amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Smaller celebrations, however, don’t necessarily mean we’ll bypass holiday traditions. And when it comes to Christmas dinner, a pandemic is certainly unlikely to stop us from forgetting that one key ingredient needed to make a perfect holiday meal.

Have no fear — there are some grocery stores that will be open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day for those emergency and last-minute shopping trips in Chicago Heights.

Here are the hours for grocery stores that will be open, along with a list of those that won’t:

Jewel-Osco: All locations close at 6 p.m. Christmas Eve; last home delivery/Drive Up and Go pickup 3 p.m. Closed Christmas Day. Located at, 3220 Chicago Road, South Chicago Heights.

ALDI: Stores will be open Christmas Eve, but hours will vary by location; closed on Christmas Day.
Located at, 527 W. 14th St., Chicago Heights.

CVS: Most locations are open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Christmas Day. Located at, 11 E. 14th St., Chicago Heights.

The Fresh Market: Stores will open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. Christmas Eve. All stores are closed Christmas Day. Located at, 1657 Chicago Road, Chicago Heights.

Sam’s Club: Stores will be open until 6 p.m. Christmas Eve and closed Christmas Day.
Located at, 21430 S. Cicero Ave, Matteson.

Walgreen’s: Selected locations are open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Christmas Day. Call ahead to confirm hours with your local store. Located at, 650 Dixie Hwy, Chicago Heights.

Walmart: Most stores will be open until 6 p.m. Christmas Eve. All stores are closed Christmas Day.
