Earlier in the week, I asked readers what they thought of U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. referring to the iPad as a jobs killer. Here's what a few Patch Facebook fans had to say:
Kristin Kassela - Completely ridiculous. it's unfortunate that places like Borders are going out of business, but that shouldn't mean that we should stifle technological advancements. it's a sign of the times and if you don't wanna jump on the bandwagon, you'll be left in the dust.

Rebekah Moore - It's a sorry excuse for a congressman who won't do his job in our area. Take responsibility for what you haven't help create and accept the innovation that others have worked hard at achieving! 2012 will mark 18 years in office, I think we need a change!
Giancarlo Narcisi - Yeah, so was the cotton gin and printing press. nice point, Representative..
Ouch, Jesse!
Trivia Champ
We also asked a trivia question as a prelude to the Historic Heights feature:
What "worldly" possession does Bloom High School have in common with United States President Franklin Roosevelt and British Prime Minister Winston Churchill?
Rebecca Bova answered correctly with "the globe in the library;" the 500 pound Weber Costello Globe to be exact.
Most Liked Article
Our most liked article of the week was Michael Volpe's business profile on Three Star Liquors, one of the oldest Chicago Heights businesses still standing. The article got six likes (including Volpe himself, but we'll count it anyway).
