Lane Closures Expected During Summer Construction On Lincoln Highway
Chicago Heights drivers will see repaving on a stretch of Lincoln Highway and new ADA-compliant sidewalks through Rebuild Illinois funding.

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL — Drivers in Chicago Heights can expect lane closures starting next month as Illinois Department of Transportation officials will begin a major resurfacing project along Lincoln Highway.
According to IDOT, work is set to start Monday, April 11 on the stretch of Lincoln Highway from Lowe Avenue to Illinois 394. Weather permitting, lanes from Chicago Heights to Ford Heights will only be closed during the daytime.
Officials said the project will cost $2.3 million by completion. The price includes repaving the just under 3-mile portion of highway and building ADA-compliant sidewalk ramps all to be completed by September.
