Teen Found Shot To Death In Targeted Attack: Park Forest PD
The incident happened Wednesday night in the 200 block of Fir Street, police said.
PARK FOREST, IL β Police are investigating after a 17-year-old Chicago teen was found fatally shot in Park Forest Wednesday night.
On Wednesday, Nov. 13, at approximately 9:29 p.m., Park Forest Police responded to several calls of shots fired near the 200 block of Fir Street. Responding officers found a 17- year-old boy from Chicago with multiple gunshot wounds, who showed no signs of life. Responding paramedics transported the victim to St. James Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Preliminary investigation indicates the victim was intentionally targeted, and no threat to the public exists, police said.

The victim's identity has not yet been released as of Thursday afternoon.
The South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force was activated, and the Illinois State Police Crime Scene Investigation Unit responded and processed the scene.
