DUI Charges For Montgomery Driver


Francisco Hernandez, 26, of the 300 block of South River Street, Montgomery, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood-alcohol level greater than 0.08, driving with a revoked license and speeding, according to a Chicago Heights police report.

Hernandez was stopped at about at about 8:32 a.m. near the intersection of Route 30 and Prairie Avenue for traveling 61 mph in a 35 mph zone, the report states.Β He told police that his license was revoked. Police said Hernandez spoke with slurred speech and smelled like alcohol. He was arrested after performing tests for intoxication.

Hernandez is due on Sept. 17 in Markham court.

Crossing The Road Lines


Timothy R. McCormick, 21, of the 100 block of West 29th Place, South Chicago Heights, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood-alcohol level greater than 0.08 and improper lane use, according to a report. Cops stopped McCormick at about 4:06 a.m. near the intersection of State Street and 14th Street after watching him cross the road lines twice without signaling. Police said he had a smell of alcohol on his breath when he spoke. He took field sobriety tests and a breath test, which resulted in a 0.107 BAL.Β
