No Bond For Chicago Heights Man Charged In I-90 Road Rage Shooting

CHICAGO, IL β€” A Chicago Heights man has been charged with attempted murder after an expressway shooting in the early morning hours Sunday.

William A. Wesley, 22, was charged in a road rage shooting that took place on I-90 northbound at Division just before 2 a.m. Sept. 3, Illinois police said Tuesday.

The victim’s vehicle was shot by the passenger of a white Ford sedan, police said. The driver was not injured in the shooting. State police were able to locate the Ford and conducted a traffic stop on Martin Luther King Drive and 83rd Street. Wesley and two occupants were taken into custody pending further investigation and transported to Riverdale Police Department.

On Sept. 3, the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office approved the above charge for Wesley. Two other occupants of the vehicle were released without charges.

On Sept. 4, Wesley appeared in bond court and was denied bond.
