In an amazing story from Oak Forest Patch, 21-year-old Amanda Usterbowski suddenly found out she was 5 months pregnant.

The next day she gave birth to a 2 pound 10 ounce girl.

This event is astounding on so many levels, and instead of further reporting on a story Oak Forest Editor Lauren Traut covered thoroughly, I would like to ask a Chicago Heights Patch readers to weigh in on a discussion.

Can you imagine literally crashing into parenthood overnight with no time to prepare? Is it reasonable to believe this young woman did not see any signs that she was pregnant for 5 months? Do you know someone who went through the same thing or something similar?
