"Me No Driving"

Fermin Santoyo, 28, of the first block of West 15th Street was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after police attempted to stop him for speeding, failure to signal and improper lane usage, according to the report. After police turned on their emergency lights and siren, Santoyo did not stop for about six blocks, even going the wrong way on a one-way street while police pursued, according to the report. When Santoyo finally stopped and police approached him, he said "Me no driving," according to the report. Pozo then failed to produce valid proof of insurance or his driver's license, which was suspended.

Battery

Roberto Pozos, 33, of the 500 block of Central Street in Gilman, was arrested and charged with domestic battery after a fight between him and his girlfriend, according to the report. Police were called to check on "the well-being of juveniles" and arrived to see Pozos standing outside the apartment, claiming he lost his keys and his kids were inside with his girlfriend and would not come to the door, police said. Police told Pozos to leave, which he did. Police returned the same night to find Pozos standing in the street with his girlfriend, who said he choked her inside the apartment, according to the report.
