Police Blotter: Garage Smeared with Paint, Dad Threatens Daughter

MONDAY, MAY 21
Unwanted Paint Job
A 63-year-old Chicago Heights man told police he returned home to see someone had smeared tan paint all over his garage. Police saw the damage but the man had no information about who would have vandalized his garage, according to the report.

Mad Dad
A 22-year-old Chicago Heights woman told police her father called twice and threatened to kill her. The woman told police her father was mad at her because she is trying to get custody of her daughter, who stays with him.Β
Broken Door
A 45-year-old Chicago Heights woman told police her daughter's ex-boyfriend was over visiting when she told him he was not allowed in the house and ordered him to leave. The boyfriend left, but not before breaking the top panel of glass out of a door, according to the report. He then fled on foot in an unknown direction, police said.

THURSDAY, MAY 17
Sugary Sweet Boyfriend
A 25-year-old Chicago Heights woman told police someone poured sugar into the gas tank of her car while it was parked in her driveway. Another woman, 19, told police her car was also attacked in front of the residence, as her rear passengers side tire was slashed. The first woman's boyfriend called her and said he was the one responsible for the damage to both cars, according to the report. He had been arrested the previous night and charged with battery, police said.
Landlord Vs. Tenant
A 26-year-old Sauk Village woman told police she had recently moved out of a Fifth Avenue apartment and returned to remove her belongings only to discover the locks had been changed. A witness told police she saw the landlord change the locks and remove two beds, two TVs, kitchen utensils and clothing from the apartment. Police told the woman this was a civil matter between her and the landlord.
