SATURDAY, APRIL 28

Narcotics Found at Dunkin' Donuts

A woman approached a patrol car on 14th Street and handed police a clear plastic bag of a green substance that tested positive for marijuana, according to the report. The woman said she found the bag on the ground at the business at 431 W. 14th Street, which is Dunkin' Donuts, according to the report. Police secured the marijuana in the police department evidence room.

Angry Evictee

A 73-year-old Chicago Heights woman told police she received several threatening phone calls from an evicted tenant, who said he knows where the woman lives and that he would "take care of them" one day. The woman said she was sure it was an evicted tenant who had threatened her family in the past, according to the report.

Panhandling

Tyrone Adamore, 37, of the 1400 block of Park Avenue, was arrested and charged with panhandling after police saw him approach a customer of ZZ'z Food Mart and ask for money, according to the report. Without being questioned Adamore told police, "I'm just trying to get a few bucks," according to the report.

Kidnapping and Murder Threats

A 48-year-old Chicago Heights woman told police an 18-year-old Park Forest man called her and demanded she pay him money she owed from a "drug problem." The man told the woman if she did not pay him $800 he would kidnap her and kill her family, according to the report.
