Police Blotter: Pregnant Woman Beaten, Bullets Fly on Boston Street

Boston Street Bullets
After a 73-year-old Chicago Heights man told police he heard five or six gunshots near his Boston Street home, police discovered six bullet holes on the outside of his house. Another man, 57, who lives nearby, told police he went to the corner of Boston Street and Concord Drive to fight a man nicknamed Lil Charles "over $30," according to the report.
When the man got to the corner, Lil Charles was in a blue Buick and tried to run him over before saying "I'll be back, I'm gonna shoot you and your dad," according to the report. The shots occurred a half-hour after this confrontation, police said. Police were unable to locate Lil Charles.

Snow Globe Attack
A 22-year-old Chicago Heights woman told police she was pumping gas at Citgo on Chicago Road when her ex-girlfriend threw a snow globe at the car, leaving a circular dent on the roof. The ex then approached the woman and punched her in the face and head with a closed fist, according to the report. Police noted that witnesses were at the gas station but refused to talk about the incident with authorities.
Pregnant Woman Beaten
A 19-year-old Chicago Heights woman told police she was in the Claude Court area when an 18-year-old woman walked up to her and punched her in the stomach. The woman, who is pregnant, told police the attacker also headbutted her and that she was "set up" by a group or three men. The woman was taken to St. James Hospital for treatment, according to the report.

Copper Stolen
Jeffery T. Williams, 41, of the 700 block of West Mulberry Drive in Bloomington, was arrested and charged with burglary after police saw him walk out the front door of a vacant Fifth Avenue property carrying a piece of copper pipe, according to the police report. Williams went back onto the property where police found him and took him into custody, according to the report. Police checked the property and could tell several pieces of copper piping were missing.
