Police Say Heights Woman Waved Machete at Boyfriend
It all started as an argument, the boyfriend told police.

A 31-year old Chicago Heights man was scratched and then threatened with a large knife during an argument with his girlfriend on Jan. 11, police said.
Sharice T. Newman, 25, of the first block of East 15th Street, was arrested and charged with domestic battery after her live-in boyfriend told police she scratched him across his neck and chest with her fingernails.
Newman then picked up a two-foot-long black machete and waved it at the boyfriend, using it to break the driver's side window of their vehicle, according to the report.
