Season Launch Party At Governors State University Goes Virtual
The 25th anniversary of the Center of Performing Arts at the university is Oct. 10

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL β Governors State University will be hosting its 25th Center for Preforming Arts anniversary this month, virtually.
The center will continue to bring arts and entertainment to their theater on Saturday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. The Season Launch Party event will be hosted by award-winning WTTW producer and journalist Sylvia Ewing. It will also feature performances, stories, DIY cocktails and more, according to the university.
Those who attend the virtual event will also be given an exclusive preview of the Center's 2020-21 season with performances by GSU alum Justin Smith, upcoming Opera Up Close Cabaret and information about the university's Beyond Conversation Series

According to the university, the center believes that arts should be accessible to all. Admission is
"pay-what-you-can" or free. Options to pay range from five dollars to $25.
