Suspicious Powder Mailed to Illinois Attorney General
Hazardous materials team sent to the AG's office in Springfield.

The FBI has joined the investigation into who mailed an envelope containing a suspicious powdery white substance to the Illinois Attorney General’s office in Springfield. Employees at the office called the fire department at about 10:35 a.m. Friday, reports the State Journal-Register, and a hazardous materials team was dispatched. Staffers were told to stay inside their offices as tests were conducted.
