Washington Etiquette Class Interviewed for TV

The girls will appear in a public service announcement.

The is back in the public eye.

This time the 12 seventh and eighth grade girls from Washington-McKinley School will be participating in the Chicago Bar Association's Interfaith Committee's youth program highlights project, a partnership with WYCC, channel 20.

Tuesday the girls were interviewed for a two-and-a-half minute public service announcement that will air on channel 20.

Gretchen Sutherland of School District 170 praised Pastor Olivia Johnson of Generational Blessings Family Worship for teaching and funding the class:

The etiquette class was taught through practical application like learning about table setting and manners by watching videos and setting a pretend table, off site experiences such as fine dining at Bogart's, and discussion about actual conflicts and brainstorming resolution.  Our girls learned from these lessons and from the example set by Pastor Olivia and Ms. Greer, who served as instructors but also became mentors.
