Winning Lotto Ticket Sold At Liquor Store In Crete

The lucky winner of Wednesday's midday Illinois Lottery drawing bought the ticket at Crete Liquors on Steger Road.

CRETE, IL β€” The winning Illinois Lottery Lucky Day lotto ticket for the midday drawing held on Wednesday, April 22 was sold at a liquor store in Crete. Lottery officials said Thursday the winning ticket, worth $400,000, was purchased at Crete Liquors, 940 E. Steger Road. That's near Cottage Grove Avenue and a little west of 394.

The winning ticket matched all five numbers drawn that afternoon: 08, 13, 19, 21, 23. The $400,000 amount is the prize jackpot, and Crete Liquors gets $4,000 for selling the ticket.

Whoever won should sign the back of the ticket and keep it in a safe place until they can call 1-800-252-1775 to begin to make a claim. Guidelines for mailing in claims are available on the Illinois Lottery’s website in the Winning section of the page, officials said.
