• Man stabbed to death in Cicero identified, police say person of interest in custody (abc7chicago.com) — Cicero police have identified 73-year-old Ubano Diaz as the man fatally stabbed Saturday night on South 54th Court and say a person of interest is now in custody after a brief multi-agency chase into Chicago. Investigators believe the killing was an isolated incident and report no injuries from the pursuit, but have not yet released further details.
   

• Ruling expected soon from judge overseeing lawsuit brought by Cicero diner against Illinois Gaming Board (suntimes.com) — A Cicero Steak N Egger franchise is awaiting a key court ruling that will decide whether it can keep operating its lucrative video gambling machines. The Illinois Gaming Board revoked the diner’s license over past undisclosed ties to illegal gambling, and a Cook County judge is expected to issue a written decision by February 13 that could significantly affect the business.
