Staff will shift to Kewanee and Toulon locations, and officials promise to help Colona patients transition smoothly to new providers while they navigate ongoing rural healthcare financial pressures.
   

• City of Colona City Council met Nov. 10 (rockislandtoday.com) — Colona’s Nov. 10 City Council meeting covered trash service, city property, and key financial and infrastructure decisions that shape daily life here. Aldermen extended the current refuse contract, approved selling 713 1st Street, adjusted water tank maintenance costs, and granted a liquor license to Sr Cactus, while debating how to handle historic park district records.
   

• Colona approves funds for bridge engineering, bids (qconline.com) — Colona officials have approved funding to move ahead with engineering and bidding work for needed repairs on two local bridges, including East 450th Street over Mud Creek.
