1 Dead, 2 Injured In Randall Road Crash

ELGIN, IL — One person was killed following a crash involving "multiple vehicles" on Randall Road in Elgin Monday afternoon, police said.
The head-on collision happened at about 2:40 p.m. Monday in the northbound lanes of South Randall Road near South Street in Elgin, according to a news release from the Elgin Police Department. One of the drivers involved in the crash was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two other people were taken to a nearby hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening, police said.

The Elgin Police Department Traffic Unit is continuing to investigate the collision and no additional details are available at this time. Anyone with information that may help police with their investigation are asked to call the traffic unit at 847-289-2660.
