1 Flown To Hospital After Sunday Collision In McHenry County

The collision happened at Route 173 and Crowley Road in unincorporated Harvard on Sunday.

HARVARD, WI —One person was seriously injured in a collision in McHenry County Sunday.

The Harvard Fire Protection District was called to the scene of the collision at Route 173 and Crowley Road in unincorporated Harvard at about 2:40 p.m. Sunday, according to a news release from the fire protection district.

The crash happened when a sports utility vehicle collided with a semi-truck and the driver of the SUV, a man, became pinned inside the vehicle.

Fire crews were able to extricate the man from the SUV, and he was taken by helicopter to Javon Bea Hospital-Riverside. The female driver of the semi truck was not injured.

The McHenry County Sheriff's Office is investigating the cause of the crash.
