The fire happened Sunday morning in Carpentersville.
CARPENTERSVILLE, IL — A third young boy has died following a weekend fire in Carpentersville.
Carpentersville Fire Chief William Anaszewicz confirmed early Monday morning the young boy had died. The cause of the fire, which broke out in the 1700 block of Kingston Circle in Carpentersville Sunday morning, remains under investigation.
Two other children, who were boys ages 2 and 1-year-old, died in the blaze, according to a GoFundMe set up to support the mother of the children. A second boy, a 2-year-old twin, was "clinging to his life" at a suburban hospital following the fire, wrote Daphney Lewis, who organized the GoFundMe.
