Bees & Butterflies Return to Crystal Lake Park District Nature Center
See-through beehive and Butterfly House exhibits return for the summer.

The Crystal Lake Park District Nature Center is thrilled to announce that it will be home to several beautiful creatures again this summer. Visitors may now explore our unique educational experience, the see-through beehive. Guests can watch the inner workings of a bee colony, without disrupting the bees. The bees will be most active Memorial Day through Labor Day, making this exhibit the perfect summer outing.
On Sat May 31, 10am-2pm the Nature Center will host a Butterfly House grand opening event. Friends and families are invited to experience the beauty of butterflies fluttering freely around their habitat. This event will feature additional organizations with booths set up as well, creating a fun and educational experience for all.
Both exhibits are free and open to the public, however a $1 per person donation is greatly appreciated.
