Body of Missing Boater Recovered From Lake Near Antioch
Azooz, 47, went under water Tuesday evening after tending to a mechanical problem with his boat, according to local media reports.
The body of 47-year-old boater Dave Azooz was pulled from Lake Marie in Antioch, according to ABC7 Chicago news story.Â
A search for Azooz began around 7 p.m. Tuesday after he went under water in while trying to fix a mechanical issue with his boat, according to ABC7 Chicago.Â
His body was found around 11 p.m. Tuesday after rescue crews searched for hours along the shore near Sandbar Bar & Grille, 40870 N. Douglas Road, according to NBC Chicago.Â
NBC Chicago reports friends described Azooz as a good athlete, but officials said he was wearing hiking boots and several T-shirts, which could have made it hard for him to swim.Â
