Car Goes Down Embankment Amid Snowy Weekend Conditions

No one was injured in the one-vehicle crash near Harvard.

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — No one was injured when a vehicle went off the road and rolled down an embankment amid snowy conditions in McHenry County Sunday morning.

The Harvard Fire Protection District responded to the one-vehicle collision at about 10:50 a.m. on Sunday in the 19900 block of McGuire Road near Harvard, according to a news release from the fire protection district.

When paramedics arrived, they found the vehicle had gone down the embankment near a creek just east of the intersection of McGuire Road and Lindwall Road. The driver was able to get out on her own before emergency personnel arrived.

She was evaluated by paramedics at the scene but declined any further medical treatment, according to authorities.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
