Cary Man, 21, Jailed On Child Porn Charges: Police
Caiden W. Geisterfer, who lives on New Haven Drive in Cary, was arrested after police searched his home on April 29, police said.

CARY, IL — A 21-year-old Cary man has been arrested on possession and dissemination of child pornography charges, police in Cary said.
Caiden W. Geisterfer, of the 1300 block of New Haven Drive in Cary, has been charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography, which is a Class 2 felony; and eight counts of dissemination of child pornography, which is a Class X felony.
The Cary Police Department launched an investigation into Geisterfer in December after receiving information through the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force regarding data believed to contain child pornography at a home in Cary, according to a news release.

Police obtained a search warrant for Geisterfer's home on New Haven Drive, and during a search on April 29, recovered several devices that were examined by digital forensic examiners from the Illinois Attorney General's Office.
Geisterfer was taken in custody, and during an initial court appearance on April 30, a McHenry County judge denied pre-trial release for Geisterfer, according to online court records. Geisterfer remains in custody at the McHenry County Jail, according to online jail records.

He is next expected in court on May 21 for a preliminary hearing.
