As of Monday, Moscrip was no longer in a medically induced coma and is breathing on his own. Sylvanus told the Lake/McHenry Scanner he opened his eyes a few times on Monday and his doctors and nurses are impressed with his recovery so far.

He will need to remain hospitalized for about five more weeks before he is transferred to another facility for five more weeks of rehabilitation, according to the article.
