Coroner IDs Man, 40, Killed In Woodstock Crash

Nicholas Panosian, of Harvard, died from blunt force injuries sustained as a result of a crash.

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — The McHenry County Coroner's Office has identified a 40-year-old man who was found dead in a ditch last week in Woodstock.

Nicholas Panosian, of Harvard, died from blunt force injuries sustained as a result of a crash, according to preliminary results from an autopsy. Authorities say Panosian appeared to be riding a motorcycle in the area of Route 14 and Washington Street prior to the collision.

The Woodstock Police Department was called to the intersection at about 6:30 a.m. on April 23, and Panosian was pronounced dead the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
