4th Of July Fireworks: 2019 Guide For McHenry County

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — July 4th is quickly approaching, which means it's time to fire up that barbecue and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you this Independence Day. We gathered up all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Crystal Lake and McHenry County so you can start planning now.

Here's what's in store during the week of July 4th:

Lakeside Festival

• Where: Lakeside Legacy Arts Park, 401 Country Club Road
• When: noon to 11 p.m., Thursday through Sunday, July 4 to 7
• Event details: Live music, plenty of food at "Taste by the Lake," rides, midway games, tours, beer and wines, baggo tournament and more. More details including schedule and wristband purchasing information can be at lakesideartspark.org.

Island Lake Carnival and Fireworks

• Where: Fireworks — Veterans Park, 3720 Greenleaf Avenue; carnival — Water Tower Park; parade — starts at Village Hall
• When: Fireworks are Saturday, June 22 at dusk; carnival runs June 21 through 23; parade is 10 a.m. Thursday, July 4.

Cary Summer Celebration Fireworks

• Where: Lions Park, 1200 Silver Lake Road
• When: Wednesday, July 3 at dusk
• Event details: The park opens at 6:30 p.m. for food, drinks, live music and fireworks. Parking prices and more information can be found online.

Woodstock July 4th Fireworks

• Where: Emricson Park, 900 W. South Street
• When: 9:15 p.m. Thursday, July 4
• Event details: Free; parking $8 per vehicle.

Spring Grove 4th of July Celebration

• Where: Horse Fair Park
• When: Thursday, July 4; parade at noon, music, fireworks at dusk
• Event details: Live music from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. More information at sg4thofjuly.com.

Huntley 4th of July Fireworks

• Where: Deicke Park
• When: 9:30 p.m. Thursday, July 4
