Fire Damages Barn In McHenry County; No Injuries Reported
The blaze was reported Thursday night in unincorporated McHenry County.
MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — No one was injured when a blaze broke out in a barn Thursday night in McHenry County.
The McHenry Township Fire Protection District was called to the blaze in the 2200 block of North Ringwood Road in unincorporated McHenry County at about 7:30 p.m. Thursday, according to a news release from the fire protection district.
When fire crews arrived, they found the steel barn fully engulfed in flames. The fire got within ten feet of a nearby residence and began melting the home's vinyl siding.

Fire crews were able to bring the blaze under control within 15 minutes and it was fully extinguished about 45 minutes after they arrived, fire officials said.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
