Fire Forces Crystal Lake Business To Evacuate: Fire Officials

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — The Crystal Lake Fire and Rescue Department is investigating a machine fire that happened Tuesday morning at a business in Crystal Lake.

The fire was reported at 5050 Rickert Road at about 10:30 a.m., according to the fire and rescue department news release. The business was evacuated before fire crews arrived at the scene.

No one was injured, and the fire caused about $25,000 in damages to machinery at the business. Power and gas was disconnected to the property at the time of the fire, according to the news release.

The fire remains under investigation.
