First IL Dispensary You Can Access By Boat Opens

FOX LAKE, IL — The first-ever marijuana dispensary located right on water — allowing boaters to stop by, dock and shop — has opened in Fox Lake.

A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held Tuesday morning at the Smokehouse, located at 44 U.S. 12 in Fox Lake. The area's newest dispensary officially opened Friday, according to a news release from the business. The ribbon cutting will take place at 8:55 a.m. Tuesday.

All customers whether arriving by land or sea will can expect free branded beach towels and complimentary ice for hot summer days out on the lake, according to the news release.

The business is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. from Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
