Five Arrested In Crystal Lake After SUV Reported Stolen

According to the sheriff's office, five of six suspects were located and arrested at the end of Monday's search.

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — The McHenry County Sheriff's Office announced Tuesday evening the arrests of four men and one male juvenile from Lake County after they reportedly left the scene of a stolen vehicle in the Crystal Lake area Monday afternoon. According to the sheriff's office, deputies saw a 2015 Dodge Durango in the area of Route 31 and Rakow Road at about 3:21 p.m. Monday, and a license plate check on the SUV revealed it was reported stolen out of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.

According to the sheriff's office, the deputies tried stopping the Durango in the area of Route 14 and Manor Road, but the Durango drove away. The SUV was located on the Route 14 bridge over Route 31, and witnesses told deputies six people left the Durango and escaped from the scene in two different directions, according to the sheriff's office.

Sheriff’s deputies, Crystal Lake Police officers, Crystal Lake Park District Police officers, Cary Police officers, and two sheriff’s office K9 units helped in the search. At the end of the search five of the six suspects were located and arrested, according to the sheriff's office:

  • Zishon Hunt, 19, of Zion (pictured above): Hunt is facing charges of possession of a stolen automobile; aggravated fleeing and eluding; reckless driving; obstructing; resisting arrest; leaving the scene of an accident; driving with no valid license. His bond was set at $60,000, and his next court date is set for July 11, the sheriff's office reported.
  • Amil Little, 19, of Beach Park: Little is facing charges for resisting arrest. His bond was set at $1,500, and his next court date is set for July 25, the sheriff's office reported.
  • Izerion Cooper, 19, of Waukegan: Cooper is facing charges for resisting arrest. His bond was set at $1,500, and his next court date is set for July 25, the sheriff's office reported.
  • Maurice Dixon, 19, of Waukegan: Dixon is facing charges for resisting arrest. His bond was set at $1,500, and his next court date is set for July 18, the sheriff's office reported.

A 15-year-old juvenile, of Zion is also facing charges for resisting arrest, according to the sheriff's office.
