Former Bloomington Man Sentenced For Child Sexual Assault
David Freeman pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a minor who was under 13 during September 2016 to February 2017, officials said.

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — McHenry County State’s Attorney Patrick Kenneally said David Freeman, 29, formerly from Bloomington, was sentenced to 11 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections Monday by McHenry County Judge Robert Wilbrandt for predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, according to a news release from the state's attorney's office. Freeman pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a minor who was under 13 during September 2016 to February 2017, the news release said.
According to the state's attorney's office, the 11-year sentence will be followed by a three-year to life period of mandatory supervised release. Freeman will have to register as a lifetime sex offender once he's released from prison, the news release added.
