Man, 40, Killed In McHenry County Crash

HARVARD, IL — A 40-year-old Harvard man was killed in a single-vehicle rollover crash near Harvard Tuesday morning, authorities said.

The collision happened in the 9900 block of Lawrence Road when a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee was headed south and went off the roadway, according to a news release from the McHenry County Sheriff's Office.

The sports utility vehicle rolled over several times and eventually came to rest in a cornfield.

The driver of the SUV, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time, was ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the news release.

An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
