Man Accused Of Threatening To Shoot Kids Outside CL South High School

Aaron Pittner, 29, has been charged with felony disorderly conduct by transmitting a threat to a school building or person.

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — A 29-year-old man accused of threatening to shoot children outside of Crystal Lake South High School has been released from custody.

Aaron Pittner, who is listed as homeless, appeared for a pretrial detention hearing on Friday where he was ordered to have no contact with Crystal Lake High School or minors and also to not possess a gun as he awaits trial, according to the Daily Herald. He has been charged with felony disorderly conduct by transmitting a threat to a school building or person.

Pittner was arrested Thursday night for allegations he was near the high school while eight juveniles were riding their bikes, according to Shaw Local News Network. He indicated that he had a gun and that he was going to shoot at the children or have a gang shoot them.
