Man Airlifted To Hospital After T-Bone Crash In McHenry County

The collision happened at Route 120 and North Queen Anne Road at about 12 p.m. Thursday when a semi-truck crashed with a sedan.

WOODSTOCK, IL — One person was flown to the hospital following a crash near Woodstock Thursday afternoon.

The collision happened at Route 120 and North Queen Anne Road at about 12 p.m. Thursday when a semi-truck crashed with a sedan, according to a news release from the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District. The semi-truck was hauling heavy machinery at the time of the crash.

The sedan driver, a man who was seriously injured in the collision, became trapped inside the vehicle, according to the news release. He was extricated within 10 minutes and taken to the helipad at Northwestern Medicine Hospital in Woodstock before being airlifted to a Level 1 trauma center for further treatment.

The driver of the semi-truck declined medical treatment at the scene, according to fire officials.
