Man Found Dead In Burning Car In Crystal Lake: Police
The man was found dead inside the burning vehicle in a parking lot at 1205 S. Route 31.
CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — A man was found dead inside a burning car in Crystal Lake early Thursday, police said.
The Crystal Lake police and fire departments were called to the scene of the blaze in a parking lot at 1205 S. Route 31 for a report of a vehicle fully engulfed in flames.
Several witnesses reported the vehicle was occupied and made several attempts to help get the person out of the car, according to a news release from the police department. They were unable to get the person out due to the intensity of the fire, fire officials said.

After the fire was put out, the person was found in the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
Anyone with information regarding the fire is asked to call the Crystal Lake Police Department at 815-356-3620. Anyone with a cell phone can send an anonymous tip to the Crystal Lake Police Department by texting the CLPDTIP along with the tip information to 847411 (tip411).
