Marengo Man Accused Of Throwing Drugs Out Window Pleads Guilty

Theodore King of Marengo pleaded guilty to felony unlawful possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance ​​(cocaine).

McHENRY COUNTY, IL — A Marengo man has been sentenced to six years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to a felony drug offense.

McHenry County State’s Attorney Patrick Kenneally said Tuesday that 32-year-old Theodore King pleaded guilty before a McHenry County judge to felony unlawful possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (cocaine), according to a news release.

On April 23, 2019, members of the McHenry County Sheriff's Office executed an arrest warrant at a home in Marengo, where King was seen by officers throwing a bag of narcotics out of a window, according to the news release. Officers located the narcotics that King threw, which were over 7 grams of cocaine, according to the news release.

The case was investigated by the sheriff’s office and prosecuted by Brette Dunbar of the state’s attorney’s office.
