McHenry Man Charged With Sexually Abusing Juvenile Girl

A McHenry man was released on bond after being charged with sexually abusing a juvenile girl in McHenry, court records show.
Jason W. Mui, 38, of the 1400 block of Glen Drive in McHenry, was charged with one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, a Class 2 felony.

A criminal complaint filed in McHenry County Circuit Court alleges that the incident occurred in October.
Mui is accused of touching multiple inappropriate areas of a girl’s body, the complaint said. The victim was under the age of 17.

The McHenry Police Department investigated the abuse and arrested Mui on Monday, court documents show.
The McHenry Police Department has not released any details publicly about the incident. It is unknown how Mui knew the victim.
A McHenry County judge ordered Mui held in the McHenry County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
The man was released from the jail after posting $5,000 cash Monday evening, jail records show.
