New Drug Takeback Bin Debuts In McHenry County
Those wishing to drop off outdated or unused prescription medications and over the counter drugs can do so at the bin in Woodstock.

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — The McHenry County Coroner's Office has teamed up with Inman Intelligence Company to offer a new permanent drop off location for over-the-counter drugs.
Those wishing to drop off all outdated or unused prescription medications and over the counter drugs for disposal can do so in a green bin by the Annex A building behind the courthouse, 2200 N. Seminary Avenue, Woodstock, according to a news release from the coroner's office.
This includes pills, capsules, inhalers and even liquids but not over-the-counter supplements.

The green disposal bin is located in the entryway of the building, which is where the coroner's office is located, and there is no charge to drop the medication off.
This new initiative will be a drug take back meant to help McHenry County residents but also is meant to eliminate any possibly high concentrations of drug in our water supply.
