City Officials: Randall Road Starbucks Coming This Spring

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — The newest local Starbucks will be opening soon, city officials in Crystal Lake told Patch.

Interior work at the Starbucks at 1341 Randall Road is underway, with plans to open the coffee shop this spring, Heather Maieritsch, economic development manager for the city of Crystal Lake, told Patch last week.

The long-awaited Starbucks, which has been in the works for three years, was built on a vacant south south of the CVs at Randall and Ackman roads and is adjacent to the Lake in the Hills Fen.

In 2023, the Crystal Lake City Council approved an annexation ordinance and rezoning of the property from estate to general commercial use, according to city documents. They also approved the preliminary and final planned unit development for the limited use restaurant and drive thru and a dental office.

The proposed development includes a 2,541-square foot Starbucks and a 4,256-square-foot dental office.
