None Injured In Oven Fire At Home In McHenry: Fire Officials

The McHenry Township Fire Protection District was dispatched to the blaze at the two-story, single-family home at about 2 p.m. Tuesday.

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — A home has been deemed uninhabitable following an oven fire Tuesday afternoon on Highland Drive in McHenry, fire officials said.

The McHenry Township Fire Protection District was dispatched to the blaze at the two-story, single-family home at about 2 p.m. Tuesday and found heavy smoke coming from the front door, according to a news release from the fire protection district.

All residents were out of the house prior to firefighters arriving at the scene, according to the news release.

The oven fire was brought under control within 15 minutes, fire officials said. No one was injured in the blaze.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
