Police Search For Missing Teens
Emilia Rechsteiner, 14, of Huntley, and Elizabeth Ernst, 15, of Crystal Lake, were reported missing by Rechsteiner's family on Tuesday

HUNTLEY, IL — Police are asking for the public's help in locating two missing teens.
Emilia Rechsteiner, 14, of Huntley, and Elizabeth Ernst, 15, of Crystal Lake, were reported missing by Rechsteiner's family on Tuesday afternoon, according to a news release from the Huntley Police Department. Rechsteiner and Ernst were seen together at about 2:40 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Ol' Timers Park, 10700 N Church St, Huntley.
Huntley Police Department detectives learned the duo may be traveling to Chicago and video footage shows them arriving at Ogilvie Transportation Center in Chicago at 6 p.m. on Tuesday. Police say it appears they dyed their hair and attempted to alter their appearance before boarding the train.

The missing teens' families told police that neither teen has a cell phone that is known to their family or tied to a family account. But they have been in communication with friends but have not shared where they are, according to police.
Police said it appears they are in the company of an unidentified male subject.

Residents living in the area of Ol’ Timers Park are asked to check their cameras for any footage of the juveniles or vehicles that may have picked them up on Tuesday, May 20, during the time frame of 2:40 to 4:30 p.m. If you have footage or saw them, please contact the Huntley Police Tip Line by calling 847-515-5333.
Anyone with any current information on Emilia and Elizabeth’s whereabouts are also asked to contact Huntley Police Department at 847-515-5311 or call 9-1-1 if an immediate response is needed.
Any parents of children who may know the missing juveniles are asked to talk to their kids about what they know about this case and reiterate the importance of being forthcoming with the police for the safety of Emilia and Elizabeth, according to police.
