Round Lake Man Sentenced To 4 Years Prison In Cary Gas Station Robbery
Bryan Leider, 34, pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery charges in connection with a January robbery when he took cash and a bottle of soda.

CARY, IL —A 34-year-old Round Lake man has been sentenced to four years in prison after pleading guilty to robbing a Cary gas station earlier this year.
Bryan J. Leider pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery charges in September in connection with the January robbery of a Cary gas station, the McHenry County State’s Attorney said in a news release this week.
Police were told by a gas station employee that a man had come into the station, said he had a gun, and demanded money. Police used video surveillance footage from the gas station to identify Leider as the suspect, authorities said.

Police said that Leider also stole a bottle of soda from the station. He was arrested the day after the robbery, police said. Police believed they were responding to an unrelated medical call but officers recognized Leider who said he had an ankle injury.
Police said that after the robbery, Leider got into a white sports utility vehicle and crashed the SUV into a traffic signal and a sign at a private business on First Street and Route 14.
