Surgical Associates of Fox Valley Joins Centegra Physician Care

A Crystal Lake-based surgical group is joining forces with Centegra Physician Care. 

Centegra has announced Surgical Associates of Fox Valley will become part of Centegra Physician Care on Oct. 1. The addition of five surgeons from the practice will increase Centegra Physician Care's provider team to 151.

The team at Surgical Associates of Fox Valley built its practice on general surgery and specializes in vascular, bariatric, oncology and robotic surgery, said Kim Kubiak, public relations manager for Centegra.

Its physicians and associates emphasize high-quality care, patient relations and community contributions, Kubiak said in a release. 

“We share Centegra’s commitment to meeting the changing needs of our patients and to providing better continuity of care,” said Dr. Richard Lind of Surgical Associates of Fox Valley.

“We are preparing for the future together to ensure patients have seamless, coordinated care in an era of healthcare reform and beyond.”

Jason Sciarro, president and chief operating officer of Centegra Health System, said the new partnership strengthens Centegra's surgical practice and health system. The affiliation continues to confirm Centegra’s commitment to partnering with community physicians to improve healthcare services for the greater McHenry County area, he said.

Centegra Physician Care will expand its locations to the current Surgical Associates of Fox Valley office at 690 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Suite A, Crystal Lake. The new name will be Centegra Physician Care-Surgical Associates, Kubiak said.
