Third Lawsuit Filed Against Fun City Adventure Park
Another person injured after jumping into the park's foam pit has filed a lawsuit against Fun City in Algonquin.
ALGONQUIN, IL — A 42-year-old Wonder Lake woman claims she fractured her leg after jumping into a foam pit at Fun City Adventure Park in Algonquin and has become the third person to file a civil lawsuit against the business.
Leslie Behrnes is seeking $50,000 in damages from the incident, which happened during an August 17 visit to Fun City, 215 S. Randall Road in Algonquin.
Meanwhile, two other people filed separate lawsuits against Fun City for injuries sustained while also jumping into the foam pit.

David Zick, of Algonquin, fractured his leg badly after jumping into the foam pit with his son during an April 11, 2025, visit to the park, according to the Daily Herald. He did not notice the foam pit was very shallow and his legs hit the bottom of the pit.
Another lawsuit was filed by Scott Stone of Algonquin on behalf of his child. In the suit, Stone saw his child jumped into a foam pit on May 27, 2025, and suffered injuries to his neck, back and head because there was not enough foam blocks in the pit, according to the article.
